As of my last update in January 2022, the number of congressmen in the United States House of Representatives is fixed at 435. This number is set by law and does not change unless Congress passes legislation to alter it, which has not occurred since the Reapportionment Act of 1929. Each of the 50 states is allocated a certain number of representatives based on its population, with the total number of representatives remaining constant at 435.
